Lisbon Congress Centre is located
in the prestigious Belém/Alcântara historical quarter
of the city, overlooking the River Tagus. Built in 1989 and recently
restyled and extended following a 12.5 million investment,
the Congress Centre boasts excellent modern conference and exhibition
facilities for meetings of up to 4,000 delegates.
Meeting facilities include 8 auditoria, 25
meeting rooms, a total exhibition area of 10,000m2, 1,100 parking
spaces, modern cafeteria and 2 stylish restaurants with river
views - all under one roof. The Congress Centre offers delegates
great views of the Europe's second-largest suspension bridge -
25 April Bridge - and is within walking distance of Lisbon's lively
Docas waterfront development, with its many bars, restaurants,
cafes and nightclubs.
Close to Belém, the Congress
Centre is also on the doorstep of some of Lisbon's cultural treasures
- the Jerónimos Monastery, Monument of the Discoveries,
Belém Tower and Cultural Centre. Lisbon International Airport
is only 20 minutes away and a mere 10-minute taxi ride from the
city centre.
