Entry requirements

For citizens of EU countries (Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, The Netherlands, United Kingdom), a current valid identity card is sufficient. However, if you are a citizen of another country, a passport is obligatory, with a visa for certain countries.

Depending on your nationality, the duration and reason for your stay in Portugal, it may be necessary for you to obtain a visa before registering to attend Momentum Lisbon 04. In this case, you should apply to the Portuguese Consulate in your country of residence.

No vaccinations are required for entering Portugal.

Lisbon Portela Airport (LIS)

Lisbon's Portela Airport (LIS) offers direct connections between 5 Portuguese and over 25 European destinations, as well as a number of international cities.

The airport is situated to the north of Lisbon, 7 km from the city centre. The arrival halls are fully equipped with all the usual services of an international airport, including airline help desks, travel agencies and car hire services as well as banking facilities, exchange offices, shops, restaurants and a left-luggage office.

Arrival and departure transfers

A complimentary arrival and departure shuttle bus service will operate from and to Lisbon’s Portela International Airport on Monday 10th May and Thursday 13th May. On Monday 10th May, coaches will run from the Airport from 08:00 to 20:00hrs on the hour and every half hour to all Momentum Conference Hotels and on to Lisbon Congress Centre. Return transfers will also be available on Thursday 10th May from Lisbon Congress Centre direct to the Airport, from 10:00 - 16:00hrs, on the hour and every half hour.

Public transport from the airport

The Airport's shuttle service 'Aero-Bus', operated by the city's main transport provider Carris, is the best and cheapest way to get to the centre of Lisbon. Aero-Bus services depart every 20 minutes between 07:00 - 20:45hrs each day. The journey time to the city centre is approximately 20 minutes, with a one-day ticket costing approximately €2 and includes free transport for that day on all trams and buses.

The Aero-Bus is free for TAP passengers on presentation of used boarding passes on arrival and flight tickets when travelling to the airport.

Taxis are available 24-hours a day from outside the Arrivals Halls. The average taxi fare to the city centre is around €10 and the journey time is 15-30 minutes depending on traffic.

Hotel shuttle service

During Momentum Lisbon, a complimentary hotel shuttle service will operate between Lisbon Congress Centre and all Momentum Conference Hotels from Monday 10th May until Thursday 13th May 2004. Shuttle buses will be available early morning and late afternoon to transfer delegates to and from the Congress Centre.

Monday 10^th May to Wednesday 12^th May:
